Moderator:

Ward Morse has 16 years of experience in the Employee Benefits Field. He joined Mercer in April of 2001 after an extensive 9 year stint with Prudential HealthCare and Aetna US HealthCare.

Ward began his career as an Underwriter for Prudential HealthCare in Atlanta, Georgia evaluating risk and calculating premium for prospective and current accounts up to 5,000 lives. He later transitioned to Marketing within Prudential operating as an Account Manager for the Group Health Division where he administered accounts such as Scientific Atlanta, The City of Atlanta, Lockheed Martin, and The State of Georgia to name a few. Ward's final position at Prudential was that of a Supervisor of the account management staff during and after the transition of healthcare clients over to the Aetna benefits platform.

During his first 2 years at Mercer, Ward negotiated renewal rates, plan alternatives, and performance standards as well as conducted market evaluations with both local and national insurance vendors. He then was appointed to the Senior Consultant role as the Supervisor of all Benefits Analysts within the Mercer Employee Benefits Department.

Ward's primary focus has been in consulting and managing the accounts as well as the Human Capital assigned to servicing clients in the Employee Benefits Field. His most recent appointment as Enterprise Practice Leader heads up the profit and loss as well as operation division in charge of cases ranging in size from 50 to 500 lives.

Ward received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from James Madison University in May of 1991.
